Mediterranean–South African Fusion: Braai-Spiced Chicken with Olive Oil & Lemon

A fusion of Mediterranean freshness and South African tradition. Chicken marinated in My Mediterranean Pantry olive oil, lemon, garlic, and local braai spices, then grilled to smoky perfection.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs (bone-in - skin-on)
  • 3 tbsp My Mediterranean Pantry olive oil
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • 3 garlic cloves - minced
  • 1 tbsp South African braai spice blend (paprika - coriander - chili - herbs)
  • salt and pepper
  • fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1.⁠ ⁠Prep

Mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and braai spices.

2. Marinate

Coat chicken and marinate for 1–2 hours.

3.⁠ ⁠Grill

Grill over hot coals (or oven roast at 200°C) until cooked through.

4.⁠ ⁠Garnish

Garnish with parsley and serve with Mediterranean salads or pap.
